Well. The Oscars are over. I actually sat down and watched the whole thing. I am not quite sure why since I have only seen 2 of the movies that were up for best picture. So here is my review. I really liked John Stewart. He was funny and contrary to popular opinion, I liked his jokes. Come on Hollywood - lighten up!!!! There are clevage and diamonds everywhere. How can this make you serious? Other than that can we please skip all of the long boring montages? Ugh. The whole show could be an hour shorter if those were just cut right out of the show. Do we really need to watch all of those film clips over and over again. I did turn it into a little game in my head - which I am quite good at by the way - and I was naming the films as they went by. I can't figure out how to post a photo on my profile, but boy do I have a head for movies.
As for the best picture winner, I have to be honest when I say that it was allright, but I wasn't that impressed with it. I thought it was too neat and too pretty. It was a little gritty, but my thought is that if you are going to go for it, then go for it. It was good subject matter and stuff that really needs and deserves to be looked at and figured out within each of us. However, Crash just didn't go far enough and get dirty enough. I thought Havoc and Thirteen were a lot grittier than Crash. And I am sad for Brokeback Mountain. I was blubbering like a baby at the end. The shirts... How sad was that? The thing that struck me is that they never said they loved each other. It just broke my heart.
So now I get to log off and do our taxes. Can I decudt all the stuff that my dog has eaten or destroyed in the last year? He is after all the product of an unwed mother that had 13 babies!

Oh weren't they cute????? Now he is the 80 pound horse that I know and love (when he isn't snatching something to get me to chase him). So have a good day all. Just keep the image of all these cute pudgy puppies in your brain.

Boring Sunday Afternoon

Well, it has happened again. Another weekend gone. *Poof* Just like that. I loathe my 56K motem. I want to download Itunes to subscribe to the BNL podcast, but it would take an hour and a half. Patience has never been a vertue of mine. Someday I will suck it up and atleast get DSL. Anyways... Now the big decision of the day is watch the Oscars or do our taxes.
And the winner is... Oh wait! They can't say that anymore.

Homework, Cat Pee and Dancing With The Stars

Well, here I sit again completely perplexed by not being able to get the photo to appear on my profile. I guess there is a reason I work in recreation. I am great at Dodgeball and underwater basketweaving, but I cannot seem to get these new fangled machines to do what I want them to do.
And now the one who was here doing homework has left me and I sit with a dog at my feet and the cat sneeking in and out of small spaces just because he can. A few minutes ago Elwyn went rummaging in the kids rooms and came away with a GIANT pink princess pillow and he was just casually walking by me with it. Um I am sorry sir, but you have a little something hanging from your saggy lips. I think I'll just grab that and you can go lay like a rug like all the other nice puppies!!
Ah yes, in the title I mentioned cat pee. I am sorry to say that our poor cat was trapped in cat jail today so he had to invent a litter box. He is much too polite to do something as gross as poo in an unexpected place, but when you gotta do the other you just gotta do the other. Ollie cat really likes hangin out in Sam's room. He has the best sunny spots to sleep in. What cat wouldn't want to spend the day in there I ask? But when a 5 year old boy is the keeper of said sunny spots, one must be a bit cautious lest one be shut in the room with all of those sunny spots while the humans go off to work and school. Oh here is Captain Purry Pants now settling in my lap. Kinda makes it a bit hard to type, but I will do my best! Where was I? Well Ollie found the nearest thing to a litter box he could and it was Sam's big box of Legos. It is the right shape and it sits on the floor like the usual litter box, but the Legos are a bit tough on the paws. It's ok. He's just too snuggly to be annoyed at when I look over to the shower full of Legos to be washed.
Last but not least, I am sad to say that I don't know what to do with myself this Thursday night. I admit for the last 2 months I have been religiously wathing Dancing With The Stars. You just can't beat it. It is a family show. Heck, last week our son commented that "he really likes the way these girls look". So now I ponder what I will do with this fine evening. I think I'll pet purry pants and probably fall alseep on the couch in a half an hour like normal. Maybe tomorrow I'll figure out how the bleep to get a picture on my profile!

Ok - So I figured out how to post a photo. Sort of... I don't know if I could repeat this feat. Also, I was trying to post the thing on my profile not as a post. Aaak! And now I must go do the mom thing and take my kid to school. I sure hope he got dressed and all of that while I was down here making myself feel like a complete dope!!!
Hee hee. I will attampt it again later once I've had my morning glass of water and bowl of Stoneyfield Farms Yougurt. Then my brain will be fully functional and my intestines will be in good health due to the "good" bacteria in the yogurt...
